Meet The Makers of Sister Ray

Discover record shop Sister Ray’s journey from selling records at a Camden market stall to their first store opening in Berwick Street in 1987, in this Meet The Makers episode.

Working in Berwick Street for 30 years, owner of Sister Ray, Phil Barton, takes you backstage of the thriving music scene in Soho, and lets us in on what the recent spike in vinyl love means to the independent record stores of Berwick Street.

Press play on our fourth instalment and explore the life behind one of Soho’s most iconic vinyl stores.

Fancy a piece of the vinyl revival? We’re giving unsigned artists the opportunity to win their single pressed onto vinyl and record with a renowned music producer in our competition, Berwick Street Calling. Your song will even be heard by our guest panel of judges, including Phil Barton himself. Find out more here.
